City Express Suites by Marriott Tijuana Rio

Very nice rooms and staff. Very clean. Great Mexican breakfast.

While in Tijuana, this is where I stayed for a short while due to a medical appointment. This was my second visit to City Express. They always keep the rooms clean! The staff is helpfu & professional. The breakfast is a delightful option.

Quiet and the breakfast was nicely laid out. You can make you're own waffles and a little waffle station and they have fresh eggs and cereal and all sorts of good stuff. Rooms are clean enough and there is parking under the building. Not gated tho. There is a security guard on site.

Great hotel, friendly staff and delicious continental breakfast buffet for a reasonable price

As a solo traveler I felt safe staying here. They have an underground parking garage and you have to have your key card at all times as you need it to exit and enter the parking garage and for the elevator to get to your room. I felt safe with the security out in the parking garage and anything I needed was brought in a timely manner. My only suggestion is to fix some of the lights in the room as they weren’t all functioning but other than that 5 stars and highly recommend!

Rooms were clean and just what I expected. Suites had a fridge, microwave, and sink so you could cook some small meals if you didn't want to go out. A good place to stay if you're not looking for something fancy.

Great room. Equipped with refrigerator, microwave, stove, and utensils. I love the large windows. Let's in a lot of natural light. Luis the concierge is a delight. Overall a wonderful stay.

This place was better than I expected. Free parking under building so you don’t have to worry about your car being in the street. The garage level elevator takes you to the main lobby. They’re a security guard at all times in the 1st floor/street level. Next door they’re a money exchange. The main lobby has a seating area and hosts the free breakfast there. There’s a full kitchen and dining space inside the rooms. The rooms include water bottles and coffee making kits. Bathroom are stocked with toiletries and towels. The sofa turns into an extra bed and the staff set it up for you with bed sheets. There’s a shuttle ride service van which we will ask about since driving to the airport at night is confusing and lots of traffic. We walked outside the hotel and felt safe. Lots of business people during the week and coffee/burrito stands. On the weekend mornings it was less crowded. The rooms were well insulated and street noise was muted. We reserved 2 rooms and they were both comfortable.
